Topsoil

We are able to supply topsoil of various grades and colours.
"As Dug" Topsoil
This topsoil as the name suggests undergoes no form of screening process.
As the soil is unscreened it tends to hold its structure better. This soil is preferred by Professional Landscape Architects as it is in its natural form.

Screened Topsoil
This has beened passed through a trommel screener removing particles above 10mm. This option is preferred by local Landscape Gardeners for finishing beds and also for providing a good base on which to lay turf.

Topsoil/Compost Mix
This is where we mix topsoil and some of our compost which has come from our own "Green Waste" composting process. This mix gives extra nutrition and organic matter. As well as helping the plants grow the compost content helps retain moisture in the soil. This saves on watering costs.
Conservation
Please remember good topsoil forms very slowly in nature over thousands of years. Consequently, topsoil is essentially a non-renewable resource. Don't waste it, look after it.
